Copycat hearts

Recently I saw a project that stuck with me on Monica Gale's blog. After a few weeks I thought I'd have a go:

The heart was made from air drying White clay that was stamped with the heart image from the set You Are Loved. So easy to make. The hardest part was remembering to pierce a hole at the top for threading ribbon.

Here's a close up:

The hanging was made with Crumb cake seam binding ribbon with a short length of Victoriana lace added for interest.

Love how simple but effective these turned out to be, so thank you Monica!

Wedding day

Morning all. I meant to blog this yesterday but it was such a hectic day that it just didn't happen!

My sister in law tied the knot at an intimate ceremony yesterday
morning! To celebrate I made them this card:

It's copied from one by Jenni Pauli the number 1 German demonstrator. Although I did change the stamp sets used and also changed the colours to Pool Party instead of pink as that is one of my SIL's favourite colours.

Munchkin had a cute miniature bouquet to match the brides, full of spring flowers:

She was very over excited and dashed about like a whirlwind at the (literal) wedding breakfast!

Here's a snap of the happy couple:

They've jetted off on honeymoon to New Zealand now, and we wish them lots of happiness together!!!

21st birthday card

Morning all!

Many people ask me for special birthday cards; Ones that are personalised with a name or age on them. That's where the idea for this card came from:

It's using the saleabration set Elementary Elegance. The centre panel of the main image is just the right size for a number or monogram.

The colours could easily be adapted to suit the recipients favourite colours too.

Have a great day!

At laaaaast

Here is the swap I received from my friend Fiona a LONG while back. I've finally found it (I hadn't forgotten, simply not tidied up!)

Isn't it gorgeous? It's using the gorgeous Paisley set in the Spring mini and a strip of Spice Cake DSP. I love this set and Fiona has a real knack of making it look fab!

On Saturday I went dress shopping for Munchkin as we are going to a last minute wedding on Wednesday. While I was trying to entertain her so my Mum and sister could finish up in a shop I stumbled across a photographer in the shopping centre doing portraits. We've not had any formal photos taken so I could resist!

They did such a great job and we are now booking a whole family portrait.
Hope you had a good weekend and that you were able to get out to enjoy the sunshine. Back again soon with more of my own creations.

Total CASE

This week I'm totally into butterflies. As I've not been as crafty as usual I thought a lovely CASE'd project would get me back in the flow:

Originally by Anne Marie Hile, although I did make a few minor alterations. I'll bet you haven't seen the Saleabration papers looking like this!!! Love the colour combination of Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party and Soft Suede.
Lots of Big Shot-tastic die cuts and layering to finish. Love!

Poppy Parade Craze Contd

Yes Poppy Parade is back in force. I still thinks it's odd as I really wasn't a fan at first. Anyway this card is an amalgamation of a number of different cards I've seen online:

A bit of punching, Big Shot embossing and pearls. Gotta love those SAB papers, Everyday Enchantment too!

The card was made when I had a
fun girly craft night with one of my best friends, Lauren, last Thursday:

Lauren is new to crafting but a very talented lady indeed. Hopefully I'll be able to share some of her creations soon.

Munchkin is growing up!

Today I realised just how much Munchkin is growing up. A couple of her current favourite things include:

Showing off!
She has sheer delight in eating treats and playing up to an audience at the same time.

Drawing
Any creative pursuit is very exciting to Munchkin. Gloopy glue, colouring, doodling, stickers, paint etc are all fair game and never far from her mind.

Flashcard fun

Hello and Happy Friday!

Since my little one was born I'd been meaning to make this project:

Alphabet Flashcards! They took quite a while as I made them double sided. I used the Brights family of colours and stamped the alphabet using Broadsheet Alphabet.

The other side has images:

I used the Just Perfect alphabet to write the words. For the images I dug deep into my stamp sets, as well as my friend Fiona's!!!

Once all the cards had been constructed I ran them through the laminator to ensure Munchkin can't pull them apart (as easily).

Now onto the learning....

Love

Yes it's Valentines Day. I've made a few cards. Here is one I case'd from somewhere for my father in law to give my mother in law:

Adore the simplicity of it. A touch of red glitter card adds a lot to the design.

The next card is one I case'd from Shannon who demonstrated it at the last European Convention:

Sweet and colouring. Perfection!!! (if I do say so myself!)

Sprinkled Valentine

This beauty was designed by my lovely friend Fiona:

The red really pops on this card. There is a black base, White mat stamped with black ink and a red sentiment. The central heart image was embossed with quite embossing powder onto black and decorated with small red hearts. If I was making this again I'd probably use red glitter card for extra punch.

Tried taking Munchkin to the cinema but misjudged the film horribly. Turns out Tintin was a tad advanced (scary and too complex). Still the treats to eat went down a storm and we had such fun looking round the shops and chatting.

Make a list

If you've been browsing the Stampin Up! Catalogues, particularly the Spring Mini, you've most likely had to make a list of all the goodies you're lusting after!!!

To help I've been made this mini notebook:

I adore this colour combination: Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Basic Grey.

The note book was covered with patterned paper with a strip of 1/4" grosgrain ribbon covering the join. Then there's a punched out Decorative Label Punch in whisper White. The border was drawn with Basic Grey marker.

Next I cracked open my adored cupcake stamp set and Create a cupcake punch. Next, using markers in the colours listed above, I created the cupcake and punched out the pieces. This made the whole process SO quick. VoilĂ  in about 15 minutes this notepad was made and is ready to be filled with my wishlist.

Hope you're doing something nice this weekend. There's still plenty of snow about here making home feel even more cosy.

I'm still tending to my poor tonsil-less hubby but have been given a but of tome off my my darling dad who's removed Munchkin to treat her to a day out.

Happy Birthday Aunty Cath

Tomorrow is my SIL Cath's birthday. So today we're popping over to their place to celebrate. Here's the card I made her with some Saleabration goodies:

Love how you get a punchable picture and Happy Birthday to stamp inside.

This week Munchkin and I ventured up to London with my Mum to visit munchkin other Aunty. We went to lunch at Yo! sushi in Selfridges:

She was quite good after a week of being off colour. You'd never believe the trouble this cute little face has caused in the wee small hours!:

Thaaaaanks

Morning all. It's chilly outdoors so why not stay in and craft?

Today I have a card to share that my upline Natalie designed. It uses the Outlined Occasions set and the gorgeous Saleabration papers:

This is the card that's made me crazy about Poppy Parade!!

I'm off to do a Demonstration at Tongham Community centre today. Wish me luck!
