This is another purple-based card, where the layout is copied from one I saw on Kimberley Van Diepen's blog. I liked the layers so I thought I'd give it a go.
The main stamped image is from the set, Charming, which is soon to be unavailable. I used the marker to stamp technique to give it depth and then punched it out with the postage stamp punch. This was layered on an Old Olive scalloped square, which was layered on a Newsprint Decorative Label Punch, which was layered on a large die cut circle! Phew!! So lots of layers.
The sentiment came from You Are Loved and was embossed with gold to match the large circle's patterned paper.

Two of a Kind
Today my lovely friend Ruth popped over. It was her birthday yesterday so I made her the card above. I wanted to get some use out of my postage stamp punch that is soon to be unavailable! Again, I used Delicate Doilies DSP. I'm loving Wisteria Wonder at the moment!!
The stamped sentiment came from the set You Are Loved in Rich Razzleberry.

She liked it so much that we recreated one together. This is mine. The papers are Beau Chateau and there's some of that yummy velvet Very Vanilla ribbon.
Peekaboo, I see you!
Hello at last! I've been attempting to blog since Monday but Blogger has been refusing to post my pictures! Fingers crossed I can now share this scrapbook page with you.
It's based on one from the monthly magazine all demonstrators receive: Impressions, April 2012. It's yet another great reason to become a demonstrator. It is full of great colour combinations, gorgeous projects and ideas with all sorts of products.
Here's a view with the peekaboo flaps open. Such a cute way to add additional photos, journalling and stamped images without taking away from the main image. I've used Delicate Doilies DSP, which has this lovely Wisteria Wonder colour featured. The background stamping came from the set (soon to be retired!) Spiced Paisley, stamped in Wisteria Wonder.
Here's a close up of the little flaps. They were made by punching out Wisteria Wonder card using the Decorative Label Punch. Then the centre square was punched out. To attach the flaps the Jewellry Tag Punch created a hinge so the windows open and close!
Did you spot the pleated satin ribbon? Yes! It's going to be available from 1st May in a few different colours. The colour you can see is Blushing Bride. Consider this your sneak peek! There is another coming later in this post too....
Lastly here's a close-up of the decoration I made. It's using a cocktail stick with a card flag wrapped around it. There's a Soft Suede butterfly with jewel and a stamped image (also stamped using Spiced Paisley) and cut out. The Tiny Tag was tied on with BAKERS TWINE! Yes, there's bakers twine in the new Summer Mini catalogue. I've used white but there are also the striped versions in the 2011-13 In Colors. Yum-o!

Grace is 4
Today we are going to celebrate my cousins daughters 4th birthday. It only seems like five minutes ago that she was born and soon she'll be off to school!
Here's the card I made from her, highly influenced by this one by Kirsty Brown.
I added some bits and took away others. If you notice, those buttons are not currently available. It's a little sneak peek of the new buttons in the Summer mini catalogue that will be available from 1st May. Aren't they cute?
N.B. If you'd like a copy of the summer mini catalogue contact me and I'll pop one to you!
Talking of cute, Munchkin appears to be Massively into makeup. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm not hugely into make up, so she must have got this from her Aunty Pecker!
Red lips, green eyeshadow and powder. Lovely!
These are some gorgeous flowers given to me by my lovely friend Ms La Fey. Thank you!!!

Belated birthday wishes
Lately I seem to be behind with everything, including birthday wishes! Here is a card I made for my birthday twin, Amy, that she should have had on her birthday, not a week later.
The rainbows were made using different ink pads and the dotty border stamp from the Spring Mini catalogue. Such a useful stamp for backgrounds, Borders etc.
The centre was punched out using the new larger scalloped circle punch. I doodled around it and added jewels for some sparkle.
Here's a couple of Munchkin pictures back from our trip to France last month.
Yes yes dairy. I know. Bad mummy. But she DID enjoy herself so much!!!!

Hello lil bro
My little brother recently bought his first home... all the way in Leeds! To show him we are thinking of him as he begins to make it his own I made this card:
It's a CASE originally designed by Julie Kettlewell, of Julie's Japes.
It was great to use my beloved owl punch, soon to be unavailable Spice Cake papers and Borderlines stamps!!!
And for the munchkin fans:
Here she is, apparently posing to show off the stamp on her hand. She got it at a ball skills class, the clever chick!

Personalised necklace
Now for something different! After lots of posts about scrapbooking I thought we should have a break from that and see something else I've been working on:
These necklaces, panels and bead charms are only available to order til the end of April, when the spring Mini catalogue ends.
I used the set Charming to make the panel inserts. This particular insert is 1"x1.25". You can really go to town decorating as there is room for some depth.
As the doting parent I put this on the reverse side:
Another great feature is that you can change the inserts to suit your mood or outfit.
Here's an alternative design:
Hope you enjoyed!

Mixing patterns
The 11th challenge on the shimelle.com online crop was to mix patterned papers.
I was heavily influenced by one of the designs on there but this is my interpretation. I've actually squeezed four different designs from the same range. These are hostess papers that you can get for free if you host a party that totals £150+.
The owl punch made the embellishments super quick and easy. I also added some glimmer brads, de cut orange mini doilie and some big shot die cuts.
The writing is all about words that Munchkin has made up eg see-saw means horse. Got to preserve those memories!!

Pocket page
Another Shimelle online crop weekend challenge: add a pocket.
I've gone from one photo per page to photo overload. I think perhaps in hindsight this should have been a double page but since I'd started I went on to finish!
The patterned paper acts as a giant pocket for all the holiday memorabilia we collected whilst on the trip. At last a page that uses that bag full of bits I so carefully collected (as I always do) on holiday. Only this bag won't sit gathering dust for a year or two until their significance is forgotten and they are recycled.

Scrapping
There's an online crop at Shimelle.com so I've had a go at some of the challenges.
This first one is based on another layout you can see here.
The second was a colour challenge: to use Grey, yellow and one other colour.
Hope you like the designs!

Last night
Was training night! Lovely Diane ran a class for demos to make this lovely waterfall book - originally inspired by Jenny Moors.
Each book ended up completely different and mine was based on chickens!
The inside was decorated with pirouette pink swirls from Everything Eleanor and sponging in Crumb Cake.
On the inside is a tab you pull to make the pages move - like a waterfall!
This Top note could be where a message is written for the recipient. As you can see mine is blank as I didn't have anyone in mind at the time of making it.
This weekend promises to be a fun family one as we have lots of time to hang out. Already lovely husband has made me a delicious breakfast so we are off to a good start!

Scrapbook club: April
Morning! Last night was scrapbook club. It was lovely to focus on creating a page as I've taken lots of photos recently.
The page was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest which looked like photo booth strips. It was a chance to dig through my scraps box and make use of them. The stamp sets used are Broadsheet Alphabet and Creative Elements.
If you'd like to come to Scrapbook Club next month it will be held on Tuesday 1st May at 7.30pm at my home (GU12).

3 years of bliss
Apologies for the soppy title. I guess I'm a romantic when it comes to my lovely husband! Yesterday we celebrated three years of married life. Here's the card I whipped up:
There's a Poppy Parade base and it's combined with More Mustard and Pear Pizzazz. The greeting come from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched with the Word Window punch.
The two figures are meant to be me and hubs. Not the most flattering interpretation but they made us both giggle. I didn't quite get us to scale so I look like a child next to him, which is a bit unfortunate! I'm a particular fan of his More Mustard trousers!!!!
We went to see the Terry clan yesterday which was nice. Other than that it was just a regular say... Hopefully we will get a chance to do Something special soon!

Spring has officially sprung
Happy Easter & Springtime everyone!
This card was inspired by one I saw on Jenni Pauli's blog a while back. I love her pared back style! The colours are Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. Nice springy colours! Using the 3/4" and 1" circle punches To make a random pattern and then I filled it with hearts and flowers.
The sentiment was from the now retired saleabration sets but you could use any sentiments you like really. I used the same coloured inks as the embellishments I'd made so it brought a coordinated look.
We've just returned from a week in Mallorca which was lovely. It was heavenly to have the three of us together with nothing else to worry about. munchkin made lots of friends and thoroughly enjoyed the mini disco each evening. Now we are back to reality and it's time to get excited about this months promotion! If you spend £45 on products during April you can choose a free set of papers from a selected range (RRP £9.95!). It's a great deal so let me know if you'd like anything as I'd be happy to add it to my regular weekly orders.
