Cute card but I should have thought about it first because I don't have an envelope to fit it! (5" x 3"). Oh well. I will have to whip one up when I have a second. Am loving Seeing Spots nonetheless.

The simplistic design works really well I think. You could 'butch' it up a bit by not having a butterfly on there if the card was for a man. Maybe a pint glass or something instead?!

Notes
The good thing about this project is that it has endless possibilities in terms of patterns of paper and messages to write on the front. Plus it's a great way to use up any smaller pieces of patterned paper.

Valentine Class
I adore this little milk carton and you can put whatever gift you like in it, but I am going to put Minstrels in there as they match the colour combination! The chocolate lollipop is super simple but is a really nice little gift.
Since the arrival of my kraft cardstock I have gone kraft crazy! It's such a versatile background and really makes the cute bunny look even more adorable.

Flowery birthday
This card was inspired by a card posted by Julie Monroe on Split Coast Stampers (SCS). I spend a lot of time on the
SCS site and find it great for ideas.
The card uses the Mr&Mrs stamp set that I originally bought to make our wedding invitations. I hadn't really given the set much thought since until I saw this card. I love how the flower stamp makes unique designer paper-style background. Plus I got to use my new Bold Brights markers to colour them in (perfect when watching tv), although the original card by Julie was more a more muted colour palette. The colour combinations are endless with this card, which only makes me like it more.

Butterfly birthday
I've also rediscovered paper pricking so there are a couple of rows of that on this card on the So Saffron layer.

Hello Again!
I don't know if it's clear from the picture but the flower head has been decoupaged using a 1" circle punch to raise it up and make it more of a feature.
This card is featuring Pixie Pink, a colour I have been using a lot as I bought lots of it to make birth annoucements but then I hadn't realised it wasn't realistic to make them after giving birth. D'oh!

Happy New Year 2010!!!
The card I have for you today is not a card I have made before. I usually include my New Year wishes with my Christmas card but I was a little but slack on the card front this year so I have a few people I still need to wish well for 2010.
Yes, my Sunny Day Scrappin' Kit is still being thoroughly over used. I lurve lurve lurve it! I saw the idea for this card on this site. I adapted it and used some lovely orange ribbon and the Seeing Spots stamp set. I'm also still playing with my white embossing powder on every project so it was used for the greeting on this card as well.
