Tea gift holder

Another Pinterest inspired project... I followed this tutorial to make the basic sizes work. It makes a cute little gift holder that can hold a gift card, teabags and/or beauty product samples.

It was great to get out Tea Shoppe again. It's such a sweet set and really works on this kind of gift.

Here's a view of the inside. On the left is patterned paper featuring Baja Breeze. On the left are the gift envelopes cut on the Big Shot with cute buttons.

This shows the envelopes in more detail. Aren't they cute?

This would be a great gift to make en masse as it is super quick to measure and score but also easy to personalise with different papers and themes.

Time for tea

Hello Stampers! Here is a project I copied from Heidi Baks. It's the perfect project to use the Tea Shoppe set!

There is a tea bag dispenser and a matching 3x3" card. In the project Heidi used the Everyday Enchantment DSP but I chose to use Twitterpated papers instead. I can't get enough of the cute flower designs!

The tea bag dispenser is a box with removeable lid (to allow it to be easily refilled) with a gap at the bottom to allow the individually packaged teabags to be removed.

 I had fun with the decorating of the dispenser and even made a rosette for the top of it finished with one of my FREE brads from this month's promotion.

The card was teeny tiny. I stamped the teacup using Island Indigo ink and cut it out so it could be mounted on a foam pad. I stamped the flowers using Pear Pizzazz ink and used Riding Hood Red to watercolour them. Easy peasy!

Check back tomorrow an adaption I made to this original idea to make something totally different!

Cups of thanks

One thing I don't think anyone can have enough of is thank you cards. I love the one layer cards I saw on Vicky's website, Crafting Clare.... this is my interpretation.

I stuck with In Color 2011-13 collection so they all were simple to put together. The background square was sponged and then the teacups were stamped on top. I am finding so many uses for this Tea Shoppe set. When I first got it I was thinking of a couple of cards but now I have to resist the urge to use it on all the cards I create!!!

The colour used for the cups were repeated for the sentiment and I couldn't resist adding a few Rhinestones! I guess that is my little touch to Vicky's great design.

I hope you agree these are cute little cards and even better they were a breeze to make en masse!

Inspired by Impressions

Another card inspired by the monthly demonstrator magazine Impressions. This time it's the May 2012 issue and a vintage feel. It's a pity you can't smell this card as the pansies on the Soft Suede base are embossed with Cherry scented embossing powder. Delish!

I had some fun with layering: large scalloped circle in Newsprint DSP, distressed Rich Razzleberry torn strip, embossed frame, vintage brad, lace and crinkled Pear Pizzazz seam binding ribbon. Phew! Lots of work but oh so much fun. I loved getting messy with my spritzer tool, water spray and Dimensionals! Like yesterday I used the Tea Shoppe stamp set. The quote from Louisa May Allcot is just lovely.

We have had a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend. Such fun to be at home with my loved ones and no rushing about. Today has involved A LOT of cleaning and tidying. Pretty out of character for me but the end result has made me really happy.

We even squeezed in some crafty time and here is a picture, early on Saturday morning, of Munchkin clutching her new felt dollies that we made together! She is so proud of them and has been taking them everywhere, even to join her on the potty!!

Cup of tea?

Hello all! I've been trying to post to my blog all week and I'm having no luck!! I will continue trying to sort out the issue. Forutnately I appear to have been lucky and can post this one card that I made this afternoon.

It's based on one I saw on Splitcoast Stampers and I forgot to see who exactly made it. I changed it up quite a bit so I think I can safely call it mine. It uses the adorable set Tea Shoppe that is in the Summer Mini 2012 catalogue.

LOVE this set. I am not sure why as I don't drink tea but it's just so sweet I couldn't pass it up. I like the combination of words and images that can make up all kinds of cards from contemporary to vintage. The colours used are Whisper White, Pool Party and So Saffron, which are pretty classic and clean.
