Still loving the Medallion stamp, this time embossed in Black.

The original idea was taken from a sweetie favour I saw on SCS and I adapted it to make this card. To make the 3D embellishment, you take a strip of patterned paper (mine was from Love Letter) 12"x1.5" and edge it with a border punch. The strip is then concertina'd and the ends stuck together to make a circle. When this is flattened you can adher it to your project. (Shimelle Laine did a great tutorial for these at Christmas time last year if you want a video tutorial)

The cherub and sentiment come from the set Clearly For You (in the Spring Mini) and were punched out with the 1" and 1.25" circle punches. A splash of Real Red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and some card make the design "POP"!

Hope you like!

Oh no it's wonky! That was my first thought when I saw this card uploaded. However we can't be perfect all the time so after a few deep breaths I decided to go ahead and share this with you.

The design is heavily influenced by one I saw on SCS (I'm afraid I can't remember the artist's name) and I adapted it to suit my supplies. I love the combination of neutrals with Rose Red and Black. Black is a colour that I sometimes overlook in favour of other neutrals, but it is so striking when used sparingly.

The stamp set used is called Clearly For You from the Spring Mini catalogue. It's a great versatile set and can be used for many different looks. If youd'd like to get your hands on the set, why not place an order with me? Just email blueangelcrafts@gmail.com

Butterfly-tastic

As you may have noticed I'm a real fan of butterflies and I couldn't help but have a go at this design when I saw it on Vicky's website.

I changed mine a little and embossed the background (from Notably Ornate) in gold. I actually stamped this the "wrong way" but actually I think it looks ok this way around. I then cut butterflies on my Big Shot. If you don't have any embosslits you don't know what you are missing! These are teeny little dies that cut AND emboss all in one.

Lastly some pearls were added for some more sheen and voila! CASE'd!!

All designs were CASE'd from Splitcoast Stampers. I think the bookmark was actually a leadership training project over in the USA. Love love love playing with this set, Clearly For You. Such a versatile set. Hope they give you some inspiration!!

If you are continuing your journey through Group 3, your next stop is Debbi. Enjoy the rest of the bloghop. If you didn't start the bloghop from the start, there are 4 groups in total and you can start them here: Group 1 Group 2 Group 3 Group 4
