Fox & Friends

I saw a card just like this on Pinterest and thought what a fun card it would be for a young boy. They can be quite tough to make cards for but I think you could get away with giving this to a 9 or 10 year old.
The base is Island Indigo. I LOVE this colour and it looks fantastic with Crumb Cake layered on. Each animal was stamped onto Whisper White and then punched out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. A contrasting circle was then cut out to mat them on using the 1 3/8" circle punch.
To give the card a bit more interest I also stamped the heads of the animals again and cut them out to layer on top, attaching them with a dimesionals foam pad.. The lion had his mane cut from a scrap of Daffodil Delight DSP.

One layer challenge

Hello all! Finally here is my Less Is More challenge entry this week!

The challenge was to make a one layer card featuring "something with legs". So... I used a Very Vanilla base and stamped the monkey from Fox & Friends in Soft Suede. I coloured the bellies with a Crumb Cake marker.

The sentiment came from Trendy Trees and was stamped in Crumb Cake and was finished with a couple of pearls. VoilĂ !

Welcome baby George!

On Monday my cousin had her second baby, George. It's very exciting as her pregnancy wasn't all that easy so we're very glad to hear all is well. I made this box (above) for her. It contains a little frame so she can have a picture of each child in it. The box is based on the pizza box design but I had to make it bigger to accomodate the contents.

Then a card to match was needed. This is a card I CASE'd from my upline's training session a few months ago. I missed the training but she showed the card on her blog. I adapted the card from pink/girly to blue/masculine.

The card has a fancy fold and then punches were used to make a small tug-along train with animals from Fox & Friends. I used the Nursery Suite papers and Curly Cute sentiment. I'm taking it along to see her later so I hope she likes it!

Congrats

Hooray hooray it's Saturday! Today I have a card I made at Amy's yesterday. It features the owl from the set, Fox & Friends. I stamped the image in Pear Pizzazz, Tangerine Tango and Chocolate Chip.

The sentiment is from the same Hostess set as yesterday. Here is a lesson: USE A STAMP-A-MA-JIG! I stamped the sentiment on to the card first time sooo wonky I had to stamp it again and punch it out so I could stick it on straight(er)!

My sister came over today and we had a lovely little trip to Farnham, predominantly to visit Maison Blanc. Love that cafe!!

Grace

My cousin's daughter turned three this week. Today we went to celebrate it at a family party. The card was made with Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue & Certainly Celery colours. The monkey image is from Fox & Friends and was stamped in Soft Suede and the faces were coloured using a marker in Crumb Cake. Don't you just love this alphabet set? It's called Broadsheet Alphabet and is super-useful. Finally, I added a little glitter between the monkies for added shimmer.
To match I made a little gift tag with her initial on it and punched out with the two tag punches.

We had a lovely time seeing Grace and her family all celebrating with her. Happy Birthday Gracie!
