Happy Sunday! Today I have a card to show you that used Nature Walk at the retreat day I ran yesterday. It was a fun day in a great venue (thanks Diane!). The ladies were all lovely and came up some original twists on my original designs!



The birdcage was embossed in gold and added a sentiment using Tiny Tags stamp set.

Today was for relaxing. Well, it was for me once the roast dinner had been made. Anyway DH and my father-in-law made this all day:



Cool huh? I'm so excited that we'll be able to grow salad all winter long. All we need to do now is add the glass to the frame!

Next to the greenhouse we have a couple of raised beds with a few edible plants:

Busy Bees

Hello again! I have finally been able to upload this card!! Last night I must have spent an hour trying to do it and nearly threw the laptop at the wall but today it appears to be loading just fine!

This is my entry to the Less is More sketch challenge. This stamp of a bee is just adorable and thought that embossing them in gold would make them *pop*. Hopefully I succeeded. The stamp comes from the set, Nature Walk, which is just fabulous.

The card was quite challenging to make plain as I had a huge urge to add glitter or brads or ribbon but I fought that urge!! The sentiment comes from the new Level 2 hostess set that you can find in the Mini catalogue. Mmmm love it. I stamped it in Sahara Sand, and I have to say that having sentiments in clear makes using them a breeze!

TGIF Challenge

Hello hello! It's Tuesday and I'm already dreaming of the weekend!! Still, I made this card for my Aunt which has pepped me up. She lives in France so I wanted something special to send as I can't be there to help her celebrate.

I made up the dimensions on the card and cut/scored pretty randomly. Then I layered Pear Pizzazz (green), Rose Red and Crumb Cake card, as well as some scrummy flowery Springtime Vintage DSP. Some of the card was run through my Big Shot embossing folders for added texture. I finished off the design with some cut out stamped images from Nature Walk (found in the in Spring Mini) and sweet pearls (for the Irridescent part)

This card is being entered int he the Stampin' B's Design Team challenge - TGIF, which stands for Texture, Green, Irridescent & something beginning with F. Hope you like!

Watch out, I'm BUZZ-y

This door hanger was a cheap chipboard base I bought from my local garden centre. It was great fun using my Distressing Kit and new Botanical Gazette patterned papers to decorate it. I used the bees from another sheet of paper in the set to cut them out (I was too impatient to stamp, colour and cut) and layered with Dimensionals.

The leaves at the bottom of the piece was from Nature Walk and stamped in Always Artichoke ink. To finish there is chunky Champagne Glass Glitter along the roof and a little ribbon and a giant button! Phew. This glitter is super easy to use and since the grains are quite large you don't get it falling everywhere.

Hope you are still enjoying the heat and sunshine. Munchkin ate her first ice-lolly today! Lovely sticky fun.

Another beautiful sunny day! This card is quite masculine but I guess the sentiment looks a bit feminine!!

The colours used are Night of Navy, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla. I used a little Crumb Cake for contrast that matches the delicious seam binding ribbon. Mmmm. The main image was stamped in Chocolate Chip and comes from the set, Nature Walk. A little patterned paper (Botanical Gazette) and a few Tiny Tags and voila!

We had a fantastic day out in the sunshine, playing with the chickens and eating out of doors. Lovely!

It's Friday and it's also the end of term at school. Woo hoo! Such a sunny day too...

Today I've decided to show you a card that was made with a leftover kit from the Farnborough Make It! Show.The base is Concord Crush with a touch of Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Very Vanilla. The plant image in Nature Walk is just delightful to use with markers. To get the shaded look you just ink your stamp and stamp the main image. Then use the not-so-inky stamp a couple more times beside the full-colour image. Simple! Inside is a butterfly image and some text from Nature Walk. The sentiment on the front comes from Fun & Fast Notes. This set has sweet images and also nice words but you don't always want them at the same time! I used a mask so that just the words came out saying "get well soon".

All the preparations for my Mini Catalogue Launch party are done so I look forward to sharing all the Mini-loveliness with you tomorrow at St Peter's Hall!!!

For my mother

Hello and welcome to another exciting week! Above is a card I made for my brother to give my Mum yesterday for mothers' day. As he only asked me about 12 hours beforehand this is what I came up with. It's made with yummy shimmer cardstock and has a strip of Rich Razzleberry patterned paper from the amazing value Pattern Stacks. The stamp is from the set, Nature Walk, which is a fabulous set. This particular stamp is perfect for marker to stamp colouring. This is where you use the brush tip of your marker to colour different parts of the rubber with colours so that you get a multi-coloured stamped image. I'd daftly left my Mothers Day stamp with one of my downline so I used the marker's fine tip to handwrite a greeting. Mounted the stamped image onto Rich Razzleberry CS and added a couple of pearls and voila! Today has been a quiet day of relaxing as we had a busy weekend. Boring jobs like washing, cleaning and tidying up were done, as well as a quick walk to Tuneful Tots. Fab! Tomorrow will be a day of baking in preparation for my Mini Catalogue Launch Party on Saturday!!

If you'd like to place an order, please email me blueangelcrafts@gmail.com Anyhoooo onto my project that I've created to share with you today:It started with a plain wooden house frame that I painted with primer and then spritzed and daubered to my heart's content with Soft Suede ink. Then I used the Nature Walk stamp set and co-ordinating DSP to create the bases and use many stamps to make "fillings" for the rectangles. Below are some more close-up pictures of the detail. In addition to Nature Walk, I've used Artistic Etchings for the embossed key image, Clearly For You and the butterfly in the charity set, Strength & Hope. Yes, yes, I really went to town with all the new goodies! You can see some of the Champagne chunky glass glitter and a beveled window on the raspberry image. Yummy!
