Cute as a button

Hello and happy Wednesday. Here is my entry to the HSSBC #74 where the theme is buttons.



I love the Sew Suite stamp set to make a faux packet of buttons and used the co-ordinating paper. Then I used my alphabet stamps to stamp my own sentiment. Aren't alphabet stamps great? It's so nice to have the flexibility to choose ANY sentiment.

Sew lovely gift

Hi all, have survived yesterday and feel much more peaceful. Sadly I'm still not sleeping but the silver-lining to that is more time to craft!

Relatives have been visited and one of my Aunts admired the sewing themed papers in the Mini catalogue so I made her this:



It's based loosely on a tutorial by Michelle Last although I altered the basic construction pieces to make it from A4 rather than 12x12 and changed the way the fastening works.

So as you can see there are cute notecards. I didn't add sentiments as this aunt lives in France and I haven't ant French sentiments (yet!)

I'm giving it to her shortly as a 'bon voyage' gift.

Passion for Fashion

This is my entry into the Daring Cardmakers Challenge this week. The challenge is to make a card with the theme of FASHION. It was a great excuse to get my Sew Lovely stamp set out (from the Spring Mini Catalogue) and get stamping! This is a great challenge as this stamp set has been sorely overlooked by me lately.

There is the matching DSP with buttons and I used these colours to stamp the letters for the title. Then layers were added with border punches and a sweet little Chocolate Chip button. All super cute!!

Hope you're having a fun weekend. DH went to watch a rugby match at Twickenham so Munchkin and I had fun shopping.

Sew Lovely

Did ya miss me? Apologies for the gap, my camera was taken for a walk by some sticky little fingers and has only just been retrieved! To make up for it I have two projects to show you, both using Sew Lovely stamp set from the Spring Mini. The above card was totally CASE'd from SCS except that I used the ruler stamp instead of the frill that the original design had. Don't you just love those bright colours?

This card was also CASE'd and features the same stamp set, but as you can see, the look is really different. I'd never made a stepped card before and decided that I didn't need a tutorial to do make mine - BIG mistake! There are so many creases and folds it's not even funny!!!
