Field Training Card Making

I went to a very fun field training on Friday night in High Wycombe. Not really anything of interest to share with you, dear readers, but these are the cute cards we made. I love this new stamp set called Forest Friends, which is in the new mini catalogue, available from 1st April.
My favourite is the bambi card because the reflection technique had me stumped for quite a while!! Can't wait to share this at a class!!!

Summer Classes 2009

At last I've organised myself to plan classes that will be taught in my NEW craft studio in the new house. Please note that the classes below are provisional as they depend on demand – classes will not run if there is not enough interest. If a particular date doesn’t suit you, let me know and it might suit others to change the date too! The other option is for me to hold the class at your house with 5 other friends!

All card, stamps, ink etc. will be provided at the class but you should bring your basic craft kit with you: scissors, adhesive, ruler, cutting board, pencil etc. If you don’t have any of these, let me know and I’ll provide you with one to borrow.

If you are interested give me a call or email and I’ll book your place. There is a £2 deposit per person per class (except the scrapbooking class which requires a £15 deposit), and this will only be refunded if the class does not run due to insufficient numbers. Please note prices of each class are per person and durations are approximations.

Make Your Own Gift Card Holder
This is a clever technique where you can make your average gift card something really special. The holder you will make will hold a regular credit card sized gift card as well as giving you space for a personal message. You take away one gift card holder at the end of the session.
Dates: Friday 1st May 7pm, Saturday 20th June 1pm
Duration: 2.5 hours
Price: £3

Stamp a stack
Make a variety of cards for all occasions to keep for those last minute moments when you need a card! You will make 8 cards in this class using a variety of colours, techniques and themes.
Dates: Saturday 9th May 1pm, Thursday 11th June 7pm
Duration: 3 hours
Price: £10

Waterfall Card
This is a technique class where you can learn the deceptively simple waterfall technique, as well as try out the watercolour pastels and use Staz On ink. You produce one card in this class.
Dates: Thursday 7th May 7pm, Saturday 13th June 10am
Duration: 2.5 hours
Price: £3

Make a Scrapbook in one day!
Ever fancied scrapbooking but not sure where to start? This is a class where you can make all the pages to fill your scrapbook. You get masses in this class: a gorgeous 6x6 linen scrapbook, papers and embellishments for 10 pages, written page maps and extra ribbons.
Dates: Saturday 2nd May 1pm, Sunday 7th June 1pm
Duration: 4 hours
Price: £32

Blue Angel Craft Class
The idea of this is to have a regular chance to hang out with like-minded people, work on your latest project, share techniques and have fun! The fee will go towards a group stash as well as some yummy refreshments.
This could be held on a weeknight or weekend, depending on what those interested would prefer. Let me know so I can get this set up!
Price: £2 per session

Open House Success!

Today I held my first Open House event, which I am pleased to report was really successful. The photos on this post show you the cards everyone made. I've had lots of interest in the classes I've arranged (details on those to follow), a booking for another party and some sales which is great since the wedding and house move are now both less than 6 weeks away!

I met some lovely people who I hope to see again and I'm back into the crafting 'groove'!!
