Using scraps for cards

Hello again

Here is a quick video on a card I made using ONLY scraps from my scrapbox. I like to challenge myself to do this every now and again!! Hope you enjoy.

On another note, I have some big THANK YOUS to say. I received a leadership bonus as a result of my lovely downline promotions! So well done to Pip, Bev and double well done to Diane who counted for two of the required promotions! You ladies are doing so well, as is everyone in the team, and I am so lucky to have met you all!!

If you'd like to join my team, there's never been a better time: The starter kit is just £99 and you can choose £130 of products from the catalogue PLUS you get a £45 business pack if you wish to persue the business side of things. No catches, no returns if you do not wish to be a demonstrator. You can have the kit and test drive it before deciding!

Sponged boat card

I thought I'd try a different technique than I would usually go for.... and here is the result!

I hope you enjoy it. As soon as I get my computer allowing me to upload photos I'll cut down the number of video posts, I promise!

New Delicate Doilies Card

Hello and Happy Saturday! I hope you are having a great day. It's been a busy one for us with a family BBQ and cleaning, running and tidying already under our belt.

Here is a new Delicate Doilies video. The idea was to show how versatile the set it as it is portrayed as quite feminine in the Ideas Book & Catalogue 2011-12. The colours used are Real Red, Old Olive and Marina Mist. The sentiment comes from the set Trendy Trees.

I hope you enjoy and please add a link if you've made a card with Delicate Doilies that is not so feminine!

Creative Elements elegant card

Hello all! Here's a new video making a card using Creative Elements and the background stamp En Francais. Hope you like it. The original design was inspired by one on SCS.

The card also uses two types of embossing, one on the Big Shot and the other using Vanilla scented embossing powder. Yum!

What are you up to this weekend? We are going to be sorting out our jungle-style garden. It's amazing how fast it grows whent there's about 6 weeks of heavy rain and then tons of sunshine....

Curly Cute Flower Card

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a great weekend and are experiencing some of the fabulous weather like we are.

I thought I'd do a tutorial today based on a card I CASE'd from the US Demonstrator publication, Stampin' Success (June 2012). It's a super simple card that would be great made with all your leftover scraps. It features the set Curly Cute which is available in Clear or Wood, although my set is wooden.

Enjoy the video and do let me know if you'd like to order anything as I am putting together orders each week!

Sparking Creativity

This is a hobby I started this year to kickstart my creativity. It's great to pick up and flick through when you just don't know where to start on a project.

Tour my Craft Room!

At last I have figured out YouTube and am able to add videos!!! So, here is a quick view around my craftroom. The camera work is dodgy to say the least, as I am not yet used to my iPad's filming capabilities but I hope you enjoy!

Inspired by Impressions

Another card inspired by the monthly demonstrator magazine Impressions. This time it's the May 2012 issue and a vintage feel. It's a pity you can't smell this card as the pansies on the Soft Suede base are embossed with Cherry scented embossing powder. Delish!

I had some fun with layering: large scalloped circle in Newsprint DSP, distressed Rich Razzleberry torn strip, embossed frame, vintage brad, lace and crinkled Pear Pizzazz seam binding ribbon. Phew! Lots of work but oh so much fun. I loved getting messy with my spritzer tool, water spray and Dimensionals! Like yesterday I used the Tea Shoppe stamp set. The quote from Louisa May Allcot is just lovely.

We have had a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend. Such fun to be at home with my loved ones and no rushing about. Today has involved A LOT of cleaning and tidying. Pretty out of character for me but the end result has made me really happy.

We even squeezed in some crafty time and here is a picture, early on Saturday morning, of Munchkin clutching her new felt dollies that we made together! She is so proud of them and has been taking them everywhere, even to join her on the potty!!

Cup of tea?

Hello all! I've been trying to post to my blog all week and I'm having no luck!! I will continue trying to sort out the issue. Forutnately I appear to have been lucky and can post this one card that I made this afternoon.

It's based on one I saw on Splitcoast Stampers and I forgot to see who exactly made it. I changed it up quite a bit so I think I can safely call it mine. It uses the adorable set Tea Shoppe that is in the Summer Mini 2012 catalogue.

LOVE this set. I am not sure why as I don't drink tea but it's just so sweet I couldn't pass it up. I like the combination of words and images that can make up all kinds of cards from contemporary to vintage. The colours used are Whisper White, Pool Party and So Saffron, which are pretty classic and clean.

Also, don't forget the new Starter Kit! It's just £99 for £130 worth of goodies (all your choice, there's no preset bundle) plus business supplies valued £45.

Even better, if you sign up in May you can get a ticket to the SU European Convention in Germany for FREE. That's amazing as tickets are usually £149! Contact me if you'd like a no pressure chat: blueangelcrafts at gmail dot com

Hope you are enjoying the long weekend and getting some crafty time. We have been out to the cinema, cycling, running, cleaning, eating and seeing family.... and it's only Sunday! Cannot wait for what tomorrow brings.

Summer is here

Although the weather isn't making it feel very summery, there's something summery to enjoy: The Summer Mini Catalogue!!!

There are lots of new products, including:

Simply Scored
A fantastic tool to score evenly and precisely. The ideal tool for making boxes, embossing cards, mini books and handmade embellishments.
 Framelits & Edgelits
These are a new range of products to use on your die cutting machine! Framelits allow you to see where you're placing the shape to allow easy cutting of patterned paper and minimal waste. Each fit inside each other so you can make mats easily. Edgelits are similar but allow unqiue cutting on cardstock along the edge.

Framelits and Edgelits are wafer-thin which is great when it comes to storage as we all know how much space our craft stuff can take up!!

There is even a matching stamp set to go with the Labels Collection! Below is a project that I made using the Framelits based on one I saw by Sandy Stamper.

You can also see the lovely Twitterpated Designer Series paper which is in the mini catalogue too.

Other highlights are SCENTED embossing powders (Cherry, Melon, Vanilla), pleated satin ribbon (Pear Pizzazz, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze), Bakers Twine & Jelly Bean Brads!

I will be placing regular orders each week so do let me know if you'd like to order anything! Don't forget, if you can collect your order from me, there's NO POSTAGE charge!

Check back tomorrow for more Summer Mini projects.
