Copycat hearts

Recently I saw a project that stuck with me on Monica Gale's blog. After a few weeks I thought I'd have a go:

The heart was made from air drying White clay that was stamped with the heart image from the set You Are Loved. So easy to make. The hardest part was remembering to pierce a hole at the top for threading ribbon.

Here's a close up:

The hanging was made with Crumb cake seam binding ribbon with a short length of Victoriana lace added for interest.

Love how simple but effective these turned out to be, so thank you Monica!

Wedding day

Morning all. I meant to blog this yesterday but it was such a hectic day that it just didn't happen!

My sister in law tied the knot at an intimate ceremony yesterday
morning! To celebrate I made them this card:

It's copied from one by Jenni Pauli the number 1 German demonstrator. Although I did change the stamp sets used and also changed the colours to Pool Party instead of pink as that is one of my SIL's favourite colours.

Munchkin had a cute miniature bouquet to match the brides, full of spring flowers:

She was very over excited and dashed about like a whirlwind at the (literal) wedding breakfast!

Here's a snap of the happy couple:

They've jetted off on honeymoon to New Zealand now, and we wish them lots of happiness together!!!

21st birthday card

Morning all!

Many people ask me for special birthday cards; Ones that are personalised with a name or age on them. That's where the idea for this card came from:

It's using the saleabration set Elementary Elegance. The centre panel of the main image is just the right size for a number or monogram.

The colours could easily be adapted to suit the recipients favourite colours too.

Have a great day!

At laaaaast

Here is the swap I received from my friend Fiona a LONG while back. I've finally found it (I hadn't forgotten, simply not tidied up!)

Isn't it gorgeous? It's using the gorgeous Paisley set in the Spring mini and a strip of Spice Cake DSP. I love this set and Fiona has a real knack of making it look fab!

On Saturday I went dress shopping for Munchkin as we are going to a last minute wedding on Wednesday. While I was trying to entertain her so my Mum and sister could finish up in a shop I stumbled across a photographer in the shopping centre doing portraits. We've not had any formal photos taken so I could resist!

They did such a great job and we are now booking a whole family portrait.
Hope you had a good weekend and that you were able to get out to enjoy the sunshine. Back again soon with more of my own creations.

Total CASE

This week I'm totally into butterflies. As I've not been as crafty as usual I thought a lovely CASE'd project would get me back in the flow:

Originally by Anne Marie Hile, although I did make a few minor alterations. I'll bet you haven't seen the Saleabration papers looking like this!!! Love the colour combination of Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party and Soft Suede.
Lots of Big Shot-tastic die cuts and layering to finish. Love!
